Forgotten PIN

The quick way

Any signed-in supervisor can reset your PIN on the Labour page — no recovery needed. Use this page only when nobody with a supervisor login can get in.

Reset by email

Switches on once email is set up (Settings → Email) and each person's email is on their profile. Until then, ask a supervisor to reset your PIN.

Recovery is switched off

To turn it on, someone with access to the hosting adds an environment variable and redeploys:

  1. Vercel → the project → Settings → Environment Variables
  2. Add AUTH_RECOVERY_TOKEN = any long phrase (12+ characters) only you know
  3. Deployments → Redeploy the latest deployment
  4. Come back to this page, reset the PIN, sign in
  5. Delete the variable and redeploy — recovery switches off again

This keeps it safe: only someone who controls the hosting can ever use this page.
